His educational journey continued at Conestoga College from 1987 to 1990, where he further developed his acumen. As the third generation at the helm, Steven proudly serves as the President and CEO of Vanroboys Trucking Ltd and Vanroboys Enterprises Ltd. Under his leadership, Vanroboys Trucking has grown to encompass more than 40 power units, headquartered in Thamesville, Ontario. With a plethora of contracts, Steven orchestrates the seamless transportation of commodities to and from key destinations in Michigan, Ohio, and New York.
Diversification is a hallmark of Steven’s business philosophy, evident in his ownership of Stevevan Ltd, a thriving 25-acre greenhouse operation specializing in seedless English and mini cucumbers. This venture caters to both local markets and international export demands, showcasing Steven’s adaptability and market foresight.
Additionally, Vanroboys Enterprises Ltd stands as a testament to Steven’s commitment to agriculture, focusing on cash crop farming with a primary emphasis on soybeans and corn. Steven’s involvement extends beyond cultivation; he actively engages in the buying, selling, and storage of grain, managing over 1.5 million bushels of soybeans for export.
Complementing his ventures in transportation and agriculture, Steven’s entrepreneurial portfolio includes a residential property management company. With 24 rental units under his purview, Steven maintains long-term rental agreements, fostering stable and sustainable housing solutions within his community.
Despite his diverse business interests and accomplishments, Steven remains firmly rooted in Thamesville, Ontario, cherishing his deep-seated ties to the region. His unwavering commitment to his hometown serves as a testament to his dedication to community development and prosperity.
